How to Unlock Chaser Zero in Forza Horizon 6
How to Unlock Chaser Zero in Forza Horizon 6
Chaser Zero is not a drivable vehicle. It’s a giant racing mech that appears as a major boss-style opponent during one of the game’s Showcase Events. What you can unlock is the special mission tied to it, called “Mech My Day.”
If you were hoping to add the robot itself to your garage, that unfortunately is not possible. However, the Toyota Chaser is still available separately through the Autoshow if that is the car you were originally looking for.
What Is Chaser Zero?
Chaser Zero is one of the biggest set-piece moments in Forza Horizon 6. The event throws you into a high-speed sprint through Tokyo while a massive mech races alongside you, jumping between buildings and flying over sections of the highway.
It feels more like an action movie sequence than a normal race, which is why so many players want to unlock it as quickly as possible.
The event tied to the mech is called “Mech My Day,” and it becomes available once you progress far enough through the Horizon Festival campaign.
How to Unlock the “Mech My Day” Showcase
To access the Chaser Zero race, you need to level up your Horizon progression and upgrade from the Green Wristband.
The process is pretty straightforward:
Complete Festival Events
Spend time clearing regular activities around the Japan map. These include:
Road Racing events
Dirt Racing events
Drag Races
Festival challenges
Exploration activities
Every completed event adds progression points toward your current wristband level.
You do not need to focus on a single race type. Mixing activities works perfectly fine as long as your progression bar keeps moving.
Upgrade Your Green Wristband
Once your Green Wristband progression bar is full, the game automatically unlocks the “Mech My Day” Showcase Event.
You’ll see the event appear directly on the map. It is hard to miss because the Showcase icon is much larger and more cinematic than standard races.
At this point, you can travel to the event marker and begin the Chaser Zero showdown.
Beat Chaser Zero
The actual race is one of the most memorable moments in the game.
The event takes place across Tokyo City, with the mech constantly changing position around the course. Sometimes it runs beside the highway, and other times it launches into the air while debris and explosions happen around the player.
The race is heavily scripted, similar to previous Forza Horizon Showcase Events, so the focus is more on spectacle and speed rather than perfect racing lines.
After completing the event, you unlock the Blue Wristband and continue progressing through the main campaign.
Can You Drive Chaser Zero?
No. Chaser Zero itself cannot be driven, purchased, or added to your garage.
This has confused a lot of players because the event presentation makes it feel like a hidden unlockable vehicle. In reality, it is only a special boss opponent created for the Showcase mission.
If you are searching for the actual Toyota Chaser, that car is available separately through the Autoshow and standard vehicle progression systems.
Where to Find Chaser Zero After the Event
Interestingly, the robot does remain on the map after you finish the Showcase.
If you enjoy using Photo Mode, you can still visit Chaser Zero later for screenshots and photography challenges.

You can drive directly up to it and use Photo Mode to capture custom shots. It has already become a popular screenshot location in the community because of the scale difference between normal cars and the giant mech.
